William Harold Hobbs

— William Harold Hobbs was born March 1, 1943 in Waurika to William Henry and Grace Mildred “Morrow” Hobbs. He departed this life on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010 at his residence in Clemscott at the age of 67. Services were held Friday Aug. 3, 2010 at Roberts Funeral home Chapel in Healdton with Rev. Paul Underwood officiating. Burial followed at Waurika Cemetery.
Harold was raised and attended school in Waurika, graduating in 1961. He gained employment with Halliburton Oil Field Services of Healdton, retiring in 1998 with over three decades of service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family and friends but most of all just being with his grandkids. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Waurika.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Lexy Knopp.
He is survived by two sons, Bill Hobbs of Elk City and Bart Hobbs of Fort Levenworth, Kan.; two daughters, Angelia Lemming of West Jefferson, Ohio and Kim Chancellor of Healdton; one brother, Steve Hobbs of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Billie Barker of Weatherford, Texas and Joann Wiley of Bourne, Texas; and seven grandchildren.
Family and friends served as pallbearers. Honorary bearers were all of Harold's Halliburton co-workers.
