Sharon Kay Richardson

Sharon Kay Richardson was born Feb. 19, 1950 in Comanche to Charles and Burnis (Ladymon) Logan. She passed from this life on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010 at her home in Waurika at the age of 60. Funeral service for Sharon was held Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Waurika with Rusty Stowe officiating. Burial was in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika.
Sharon graduated from Waurika High School in 1968 and attended OCLA in Chickasha for three years. She and Stan Richardson were married Jan. 19, 1973 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband Stan of the home; son, Derek Richardson; parents, Charles and Burnis Logan; sister, Sheila Frances Gutierrez and husband Pete; sisters-in-law, Becky Gerken and husband Gary, Ann Hodges and husband Everett, and Sandra Watkins and husband Donnie; nieces, Banessa Gutierrez and significant other Ash Ali, Bettina Davis and husband Joseph; and several other nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her caregiver and special friend, Donna McCarty.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Fred and Mona Logan, and Bob and Bernice Ladymon, and in-laws Fred and Betty Richardson.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Waurika or the National MS Society.
