WAURIKA — Billie Jean Fowler

Oct. 1, 1926 — June 27, 2010

Billie Jean was born Oct. 1, 1926 in Waurika to William McKinley and Ruby Emma McGaha Larson. She passed from this life Sunday, June 27, 2010 at her home in Waurika at the age of 83.

Funeral service was held Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jeff McLemore officiating. Burial was in the Waurika Cemetery, under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika.

Billie was a telephone operator for 33 years for Southwestern Bell Telephone. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Waurika and an active member of the Eastern Star. She worked with the First Baptist Church youth group for many years, where she met her husband Don. Billie and Don Fowler were married Nov. 24, 1960 in Waurika. He preceded her in death July 28, 1993. She traveled with Don and enjoyed supporting him in his Country Timer’s Band.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don, and sister Camilla Davis.

She is survived by: nephew Michael Davis; niece Ann Hodges; children Paula Fuqua and husband Jon, Dana Alexander and husband Jeff, Roger Fowler and wife Patricia, and Charolette Fowler; four grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church.
